Last week I have been invited by my colleague Prof. Hannam to give lecture on sound in the Arts department's Time-Based Media course. My lecture is scheduled for this coming Monday February 12, 2007 3:30pm-5:00pm in VT's ADLC building. Here are some of the topics:

* Aesthetics of audio in online environments
* Introduction to audio tools for editing and production
* Basics of audio mastering
* Optimization of audio for online consumption and caveats of lossy compression
* Getting the most from the limited bandwidth resources
* Loops, taboos, dos and do nots in Flash (and beyond)
* Audio and interactivity
