Title: SMILE ISCE grant Post by Forum Admin on Nov 25th, 2007, 9:52am In my salvo of belated updates I forgot to mention this past summer's ISCE grant for the SMILE project. Science and Mathematics Inclusive Learning and Engagement (SMILE) is a large scale project involving faculty and staff across the VT campus and beyond. As a collaborating faculty, my role in it was coordinating music students who were building musical metaphors in a form of stylistically adapted tunes geared towards underrepresented population groups of the Appalachian region. This is a continuation of the last spring's project in preparation for an external grant proposal. More on this as things develop...
