I was asked by the student representative of the VTLUUG organization to do a lecture on Linux & multimedia. As a result on November 13th I spent an evening showcasing various technologies available on the Linux platform which are geared towards multimedia production. While presentation was a success, I must admit that Linux multimedia arena could really benefit from stronger PR as many of the groundbreaking technologies such as JACK are still relatively unknown to multimedia users, needless to mention average end-user.
