I have been truly honored to receive a courtesy appointment offer from the Computer Science Department Head Dr. Kafura. As suggested by Dr. Kafura's letter, this offer in part is a result of my ongoing involvement and collaborations within CHCI (http://www.hci.vt.edu) and consequently Computer Science (CS (http://www.cs.vt.edu)) Department. This is especially important as such an appointment allows me to mentor students and thus steer future DISIS GRA Theses towards HCC research that is centered around topics which bear direct impact on computer music, interactive multimedia art, and ultimately DISIS. To decline such an honor would be truly dubious at best.

I, of course, unreservedly accepted.
