Past March I was contacted by Bastien Nocera of Gnome Desktop (http://www.gnome.org) project expressing interest in including parts of Borealis into the default Gnome Desktop project which I honestly found rather flattering. Long story short, parts of Borealis are now included in the default gnome-audio package.
