Following my presentation regarding an initiative titled "Made in Linux" at this year's Linux Audio Conference, I have been honored to be nominated for the position of a Director of Linuxaudio.org consortium (http://www.linuxaudio.org). Daniel James, the founder and director of the consortium, after deciding to step down, has nominated me as his successor. The consortium's management board has voted unanimously in support of the motion electing me as the consortium's 2nd director effective immediately.
 
I must say that I am very much flattered by this show of support and would like to assure the board members as well as potential newcomers that I will do all in my power to make my directorship as fruitful and beneficial for the consortium.
 
There are many new projects on the agenda and I am hoping that most of them will come to fruition in the coming year.
 
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to all board members and Daniel alike for their support!
