As was the case with 2007's NSF-sponsored Research Experience for Undergraduates (CHCI) (last year it was the DREAM project I headed through DISIS with Nicholas Winter from Oberlin College as our visiting student), last summer I co-advised SooBeen Kim from Wesleyan together with Prof. Eli Tilevich, working on sonification for IDEs to facilitate program comprehension and analysis. Using Eclipse IDE in conjunction with Max/MSP we've identified some rather interesting research topics we are hoping to explore further in the coming year. I've very much enjoyed this program and am looking forward to the summer of 2009.
