Full version of the paper "Linux as a Mature Digital Audio Workstation in Academic Electroacoustic Studios – Is Linux Ready for Prime Time?" that also includes a chapter on obtaining and installing Linux is now available for download. Given however the ever-changing nature of technology and software, in 2008 I finally decided to remove the download as the text now serves more as a historical document than as an up-to-date documentation on Linux as an audio platform. Besides, the net is ridden with outdated and/or conflicting Linux information, so why add to an existing problem? If you are still interested in reading the document (bearing in mind that it now serves primarily as a historical reference), please contact me and I'll gladly forward you the pdf. Ico
