"Made in Linux - The Next Step" paper at LAC 2005
Mar 27th, 2005, 5:36pm

The paper titled "Made in Linux - The Next Step" is scheduled to be presented at the upcoming 3rd Linux Audio Conference (http://lac.zkm.de/2005/abstracts.shtml#bukvic) that is to take place in Karlsruhe, Germany. The presentation is going to take place on Friday April 22nd 2005 at 11am.

The goal of this paper is to expose current lack of iniciative among the Linux audio community to penetrate commercial market which would consequently settle once-and-for-all the issue of inconsistent audio hardware support as well as commercial backing of the Linux audio software offering. The paper calls for creation of a foundation which would have fiscal ability to leverage stronger bilateral relationship between the commercial and Linux OSS audio community. It is my hope that such initiative will be at least in part backed by the existing linuxaudio.org (http://www.linuxaudio.org) consortium in order to minimize bureaucratic redundancy within the community.
