RTMix 0.76b released
May 29th, 2007, 12:06am

After a 3-year hiatus, latest release of RTMix dubbed "RTMix lives on" (or perhaps simply refuses to die? Wink) is indebted to Robin Gareus who has provided a nifty patch in order to address some of the gcc4 compile errors that have cropped up as gcc has continued to evolve. At first, this release was versioned as 0.76, but then I realized that I already had a 0.76 release back in December 2003 (DOH!), so in order to pay tribute to Robin, (read: to make him complain) I've changed this release's name to 0.76b (which Robin refers to as "what kind of version NUMBER is that?"--perhaps I should dub the next release this way Cheesy?).

What's new?
*Compiler error fixes
*Cosmetic fixes
*Perhaps most importantly conversion of source to a true 100% GPL license. Yay!

To download, click on the following link:

http://ico.bukvic.net/Linux/RTMix/rtmix-latest.tar.gz (5MB-ish)

Tarball offers source, documentation, tutorials, and a prebuilt binary using qt3/gcc3 on an i686 (Ubuntu 6.10).

Please note that the current source has been tested on Linux only (although porting it to OSX and possibly even Windows should prove to be relatively straightforward). Don't use Linux? Perhaps it is time to reconsider?

Questions? Concerns? Post 'em here or email me.

Enjoy!
